d is for dirt and dough
D is for dough, specifically Mark Bittman's no-knead bread that I can actually make
D books: Du Iz Tak? Emanuel's Dream, Matthew's Dream, and anything about dinosaurs, or disc golf
D is for dirt. Shortly after we started this project, the forest fires nearby started raging, and it was so smokey outside we couldn't go out. So we brought the outside in.
The kids absolutely loved it, I think that was still one of their favorite projects
I can't pass up the opportunity to try making something I think I can't-- Paul Hollywood helped me attempt donuts for the first time
I also created edible "dirt" in the form of brownies with worms inside--thinking noodles might make interesting worms. They do not. They make horrible, starchy, crunchy, miserable surprises. Avoid.
With the 2020 politics brewing, we also wanted to talk a little about how our society is built, so democracy. My husband came up with the great concept of voting for....Dinner!
Both times we've gone through the alphabet we ended up having to compromise on the dinner we ate, as it was a draw with only 4 votes.
D is also for family dance party...sometimes to DeeLite, sometimes to Bo Diddley
